Dr. Christopher Harrington
Chris has long served on the forefront of innovative education. He currently serves as Founder and Director of Strategic Development at the Institute for Teaching and Leading, LLC and Chief Executive Officer of Harrington Education Associates, LLC., Chris specializes in assembling and inspiring great work from great teams. He has assisted dozens of school districts across the nation in the design and implementation of blended and online learning programs, including the nationally recognized Quakertown Community School District where he served as Director of Virtual Education Services. Chris works with multiple state and national groups in the field of education, including iNACOL and the Colorado Department of Education.
Chris has extensive experience leading school districts as they reshape their technology departments to support student-centered digital learning programs. He has earned CETL certification from the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN). Certified Education Technology Leader (CETL) certification is awarded to K-12 education technology leaders who demonstrate mastery in the knowledge and skills needed to define the vision for and successfully build 21st century learning environments in school districts.
Chris also serves as a professor for Immaculata University teaching courses relating to teacher supervision, professional development, school law, school community relations, doctoral research, technology leadership, instructional technology integration, and network infrastructure. He has served public school systems as a teacher, an administrator, and a consultant for 26 years.
In his personal life, Chris enjoys supporting Focus4ward, the 501(c)(3) public charity that he founded. This organization's work focuses on community-based educational programming and opportunities for children and adults that nurtures their academic, athletic, leadership, and cultural development throughout all stages of their lives. He can also be found traveling in warm climates with his family!
